Alicia Keys Live Stream in Partnership with YouTube

A first-of-its-kind experience, the Alicia Keys live-stream marked the beginning of the digital music era for American Express. Searching for a way to scale the emotional experience of live events, Amex embarked upon a unique opportunity with the fastest growing video platform, YouTube.

Utilizing YouTube's vast ad network and newly developed streaming player we were able to promote the show in a small window and grow viewership to record numbers overnight. Fans from across the country were able to tune in to an HD quality show, compliments of American Express. 

A surprise guest appearance from Jay Z helped catapult the social traffic through the roof. 

The success of this pilot opportunity ultimately led to the creation of the award winning UNSTAGED program.
