Duran Duran directed by David Lynch

Duran Duran's collaboration with director David Lynch marked a milestone for UNSTAGED. The return of 80's pop superstars and the first live digital experiment for one of films most surreal artists created historical attention and buzz for the program.

Through pre-created video clips and montages, cryptic scenes were woven and superimposed onto the live stream. Fans could watch the exciting Duran Duran performance but through the alt lens and parallel universe that Lynch created.

Two years later the entire performance was re-screened at the MoMa in New York to kick off the museum's annual "Contenders" series honoring outstanding films of the year.

Role: Co-Creator & Program Creative Director

To bring fans from around the world into the experience, David Lynch invited them to submit portraits of their painted hands and faces. During one of the peak song performances, the image flooded the screens on stage. Surprisingly not one dick pic was submitted!
